With many injuries people ask “why did this happen to me”. Sometimes injuries are just bad luck and sometimes there were things that could have been done to avoid the injury. Depending on your chosen activity you will need to train for that activity in order to minimize your chances for injury. For example if you are a runner you would want to work on hip strength (glut med) moving away from your body where you wouldn’t necessarily need to work on that for other sports or activities. By training properly you can avoid injuries and allow yourself to improve your performance. Many athletes think of avoiding injury from a performance perspective or do them as preventative maintenance exercises. If you would like to start a training regimen, but don’t know the exercises to avoid injury please don’t hesitate to contact us. It is easier to avoid injuries than to recover from them.
